Carmelite Carefree Village, owned by the Carmelite Province of the Most Pure Heart of Mary, is a Catholic-based Faith Community, that allows adults aged 55 and over to age gracefully and to live comfortably, providing a positive, living experience in community, comfort, and security guided by the love of Jesus Christ in a family-like, homey atmosphere.

We are an extension of the Carmelite mission to "serve the needs of God's people, His Church, and each other in love": founded in faith, existing in an environment of hope, and supported by a spirit of love.

The Village offers many opportunities to enhance the lives of its residents spiritually, socially, physically, and individually. While these opportunities are provided, it is only with the full cooperation of residents, families, and staff that the residents will receive maximum benefit.

Carefree Village regularly partners with the local community. Here members of Boy Scout Troop #99 from Downers Grove and their adult leaders recently volunteered their services.
